Fundacion Vida Silvestre

Who we are

We are a non-profit, independent institution. During 30 years, we have worked towards building a future with wildlife and man living in harmony.

We do it by conserving the bio-diversity of the environment, promoting sustainable development and encouraging new consumer practises. Since 1988, we are associated with WWF, the Wildlife World Fund.

We count on a team of biologists, agronomists, geologists, communicators, teachers, lawyers and other experts with company experience. Thanks to this fabulous team – and the help from many volunteers – we carry out a compendium of projects, dealing with sustainable development, species conservation, wild-life eco-systems and a “conscience-call” to the society to be more environmentally responsible.

The FVSA is managed by an administrative council with the support of a Scientific assessor.

What we do

The FVSA carries out hundreds of activities and projects within the grounds of conservation, sustainable development, communication and environmental education. Each programme is part of our mission, focused on the country’s principal regions and the interests of the

Argentine people: Woods and Jungles, Seas and Coasts, Grasslands, fresh water and swamps, climate change and Energy-efficiency, Responsible consumption and production, the conservation of private lands, responsible Tourism, nature in the city, communication and environmental education.

How we do it

By way of a constructive style, with love for science and passion for an environmental cause. We respect peoples’ opinions and prefer to agree than confront, propose rather than protest. We look for solid solutions for the environmental problems in the society and we achieve them with compromise and consensus.

This is for the people, with the people and because of people!!

That’s why we support a meditated environmental defense, with transparency, technical solidness, credibility, enthusiasm and an optimist attitude.

Why we do it

We work at this because we feel it is our duty and we sense that we can “help” the country to take better care of its heritage. For present and future generations.

We want to build a future in harmony with nature and us.
