Who we are

Triton tourism is a Holiday and Tourism agency (legal life SECTUR Nº 1104) that has been in the area for 30 years. All its commercial activities, except “emissive” tourism, are related to the sustainable exploitation of natural touristic resources in and around San Matías Bay.

 

 

What we do

We carry out excursions and “voyages”, that, through the active tourist modality, we can call eco-tourism and ecological tourism. All our journies take place in vehicles apt for the terrain and with guides who are specialists in beauty. These guides are trained in eco-tourism and specialise in “attitude changes” with regards to nature conservation.

 

 

Why we do it

We feel that this is the only way to make society conscious of the need for a commitment towards sustainable development, specially the communities in and around San Matías Bay. That’s why we encourage people to visit, know and realise the importance of coastal marine environments and the natural processes that develop there. Our aim is that the visitor, besides receiving important environmental knowledge, feels a change of attitude with respect to conservation and sustainable natural resource use.

 

Through our work, we can contribute towards the HORIZON that we share with other “worried” organisations. “Worried” about the conservation of San Matías Bay’s natural resources and its surrounding areas. We feel that the development of a sustainable tourist industry represents a strong source of economic growth for the zone. The tourism industry works well with other economic activities within the Bay, thereby achieving our vision of a future altogether.
