Who we are
We are an advisory organism of the Ecological and environmental council (CODEMA), an applicative authority Law no.2669. It is conformed of the CODEMA delegate (President); the West San Antonio council, represented by the Executive Power–1 titular and 1 substitute- and the Honourable Council-1 titular; the IBMPAS represented by 2 titulars and 1 substitute; the Inalafquen Foundation represented by 2 titulars and 1 substitute; the Natural Patagonian Foundation represented by 2 titulars and 1 substitute.
What we do
The legal functions are: participation in the elaboration of San Antonio’s Bay protected area management plan. To propose appropriate methods for the harmonious development of the zone and forward new forms of ecological tourism, and the development of social and environmental technologies. To consolidate the environmental conscience in forwarding harmony between man and nature, thereby obtaining sustainable economical development, bettering the life of the community (Art. 21, Law 2669). We also assess CODEMA in all queries related to ANP.
How we do it
By way of monthly meetings, this advisory group meets under the authority of CODEMA. Member designations are honorary and non-profitable.
Why we do it
-because it is necessary and essential to implement a Management Plan in San Antonio Bay, so as to protect and conserve the area.
