Patagonian Sea´s Food Route


Who we are

We are an association that unites The Patagonian Sea’s Food route members. The members are producers from and around San Matías Bay, all holding a strong geographical identity. This association came to be in 2006 under the Río Negro Province Tourism ministry’s iniciative. It’s made up of various local producers like: fish and shellfish conserve elaboration, olive cultivation, extra virgen oil production, cookie elaboration and restaurants where one can enjoy the local flavours.

 

 

What we do

We’ve got together local companies and formed an “action group” that wants to: create a food route that allows locals and tourists to visit local food elaboration establishments; to realise promotional activities together with local elaboration establishments that promote a higher demand locally, nationally and internationally.

 

 

How we do it

We’ve put up signs on all routes that enter our town, we’re printing a pamphlet and we’re preparing banners to fly in strategic points.

 

 

Why we do it

Because we think that association makes better communication, keeping in mind the limited resources of local “pymes”.

And we are “dead sure” that we can prolong the local tourism season because there’s more to here than sun and sand!!

We want to make our local products even more popular – and, by making them popular, here becomes more popular!!
