Who we are

We are an innovative company with enthusiastic managers. This business was created in 2001, after a lot of studies and training trips. An olive production company in a zone where there had never been one before.

 

What we do

Since 2001, we have planted olives more south and closer to the sea for the first time in this country. Today, we have 11.000 olive trees in a space of 30 acres. Their “destiny” is extra-virgen olive oil, processed in a modern ecological factory of Italian technology (all stainless steel!) which was inaugurated in 2007. The company carries out all the “processes” from the care of the trees, to the packaging, commercialization, etc.

 

 

How we do it

By following our “ancestors” example when, with dedication, work, strength and patience, they transformed Río Negro valley into one of the principle frutal production zones. They transformed the zones’ farms agriculturally, reutilizising the residual plant waters (the sewage plant) for olive irrigation, maximizing their use by way of drop irrigation, so as to conserve the environment.

We work the soil following organic rules because we know this is the best way to arrive at quality production (optimum quality production).

 

 

Why we do it

Because we love olive oil and we believe that “Las Grutas”, with our expert experience, can produce a prime quality product. Not to mention the daily challenge of our objectives that began 6 years ago (The olive takes more than 8 years to enter technically into production and you have to wait this long to see if your ideas were right!!).


We want to generate work that allows us to develop professionally in the area, giving jobs to our workers and suppliers. We want to generate tourism that isn’t governed by the seasons, with visits to our plant, keeping in mind the care of our natural resources and environment.
