Blue Bay “Pulpero”
Antonio Federico is a construction-worker and enthusiast of the guitar and local folkloric music.
As a tribute to his uncle and the “pulperos” who wrote the following lines:
Walking along the coast
You’re looking for
Your daily support
You may find your octopus…
Be it cold, be it hotTide after tide
You gather them together in the sea
Blue Bay “Pulpero”
The kook keeps on knocking
Again and again on the pai
lUntil it’s fullTired, you return to your ranch
Dear “pulpero” friend
When the sun rises at dawn
The stones shine with their beauty
You walk and walk
with your faithful
hook by your side
hopingTo find your “treasure”
under a rock
A few octopus to put food on your table.
Antonio Federico.
